Software connected to reality

A portfolio of projects where applications work with real data, physical devices, manufacturing processes or operational workflows. From operator interfaces for industrial machines and real-time video analytics to automating technical processes with AI.

What interests me most in these projects is turning a complex technical problem into a solution that works reliably in real-world operations — not just in a design or with demo data.

NEXIS — Technical Workflow Automation

NEXIS is my platform for automating technical workflows: it ingests source material, extracts and organises information, flags missing context and prepares a verifiable output for the next decision. Under the hood it connects product applications, shared packages, CI/CD and AI-agent orchestration.

The project also required building a complete component design system, connecting multiple dependency layers and establishing component testing so the system could remain consistent and reliably extensible.

Role
Architect · Full-stack / Platform Engineer
Problem
Technical inputs arrive from multiple sources, and manually sorting them, checking completeness and moving context between steps is slow and error-prone.
Solution
I designed a controlled workflow from intake through extraction and context enrichment to output validation and explicit human decision points, backed by monorepo/package architecture, CI/CD, a data layer and reusable UI.
Result
The result is a reproducible system that reduces manual transcription, keeps sources and uncertainty traceable, and prepares material for downstream work without removing human control.

Conecterm — product data and catalogue automation

A production e-commerce platform connected to business data and a print workflow. Product data is transferred automatically from Money S3 through XML into the .NET CMS and then into the React frontend; sales staff can build print catalogues directly from current e-commerce data.

Role
Frontend Developer
Problem
Manually re-entering product data and assembling catalogues duplicated work, increased the risk of outdated information and made every catalogue dependent on technical or graphic-production work.
Solution
We connected an automated XML export from Money S3 to the CMS and product website. Sales staff can select the categories they need and generate a catalogue directly from current product data; my work also included layout and CSS styling for PDF and print output.
Result
A single product-data source now serves both the e-commerce site and printed catalogues. Sales staff can choose the required categories and create an up-to-date print output without manually assembling it.

Browser rendering experiment · 2023–2024

Color Player

A technical experiment focused on the limits of browser rendering, the event loop and performance when processing audio and graphics concurrently. It combines the Web Audio and Canvas APIs in an interactive application where smooth rendering, proper memory management and minimising main-thread blocking are essential.

Role
Frontend Engineer · Technical Experimenter
Problem
Explore browser rendering, graphics and audio interaction beyond conventional application and form-based UI.
Solution
Built an interactive browser experience with Canvas, WebAudio and performance-sensitive browser APIs.
Result
A live technical showcase demonstrating low-level rendering and media work in an interactive application.

Technological milestones

Vivantis [CZ]

2024–2025

Independently delivered and refactored the BFF layer powering the e-commerce platform, including a logging layer serving both development and production environments.

Career progression: I moved into BFF development and learned the differences between SSR and browser rendering. I also worked on performance optimisation, GTM and web analytics.

Senior FE Developer

Mycronic [SWE]

2021–2024

Delivered a production application for real-time control of a physical machine under a demanding deadline. I led the team and owned the frontend delivery for software used directly in industrial operations.

Career progression: I worked with real-time communication on a physical machine and tested the software directly on it. The immediate feedback let me see the impact of my work straight away.

Team Leader · Senior FE Engineer · Lead UX/UI Designer

Konica Minolta [JAP]

2020–2021

Designed components in Figma and implemented them in production, including a dashboard with widgets presenting real-time data for a video analytics system.

Career progression: I brought UX, visual design and my own Vue.js implementation together. I worked on a real-time application and with machine learning.

Senior UX Designer · Senior FE Developer

VEIT Electronics [CZ]

2016–2017

Development of an application for weighing chicks, connected to electronic scales. The application turned individual measurements into a clear interface for operators and supported their tracking and evaluation in day-to-day operations.

Career progression: I worked with real-time data and large-volume data processing.

UI/UX Designer · Front-end Developer · Project Manager

IGATE [CZ]

2014–2016

I contributed to the development and evolution of the Trackito project at IGATE. The work combined turning requirements into working solutions, collaborating within a team and delivering changes through a regular development cycle.

Career progression: For Trackito, I designed more than the application: I also created the logo and product packaging.

UI/UX Designer · Graphic Designer · HTML/CSS Coder

Zoner Software [CZ]

2013–2014

At Zoner Software, I worked on the InPage content management system and built a foundation in web application development and production software maintenance.

Career progression: I learned to work with domains, including registration and DNS, while building a foundation in running a web product.
